    At Avanti Gardens, we believe every child deserves a strong foundation for learning.

    Our school offers a warm and engaging environment where young minds can thrive, and we are welcoming a dedicated Pre-School HLTA to play a key role in shaping our pupils' early years’ experience.

    Working exclusively in our pre-school, you will support learning, provide engaging activities, and help create a positive start to each child’s educational journey.

    If you enjoy inspiring children, supporting their development, and working closely with teachers and families, we would love to hear from you.

    School visits are welcomed and encouraged. Please contact the school to arrange a suitable time.
     
    What will you do?
    • Support child learning by acting as a role model, meeting personal needs while encouraging independence
    • Assisting children with special educational needs through specific programs and individual education plans (IEHCPs)
    • Ensure compliance with child protection, health, safety, and data protection policies
    • Participate in ‘out of school’ activities and professional development opportunities

    What are we looking for?
    • HLTA status or equivalent qualification or experience.
    • Excellent level of literacy and numeracy skills or qualifications to NVQ level 2 English and Maths
    • Experience of working with children with additional learning needs
    • Ability to understand the role of parents and carers, with the ability to relate and build excellent working relationships
    • Ability to observe, monitor and provide constructive feedback on pupils progress
    • Promote and safeguard the welfare of children and young people within the school

About our School

Avanti Gardens is a primary school situated in Fishponds, Bristol. The school is housed in a beautiful campus, that was previously an all-through school, and before that part of Bristol University, which means it has many facilities that primary schools don’t, like a full-size auditorium and sports hall. “We’re really fortunate, even though we are in the middle of Bristol, there’s lot of outdoor areas that we can use.” - Mrs Rodgers, Inclusion Lead.

Avanti Gardens was graded “Good” in all areas in 2024. Our school is a non-faith, community school that embraces inclusion and diversity. The school is inspiring place to be that places value on pupil wellbeing, “pupils know how to care for their minds and bodies through weekly singing and yoga” - (OFSTED).
