  • Salary: Grade 6, £29,855- £31,680 per annum, pro rata - Approximately £20,692 - £21,957 per annum, pro rata (0.69309 FTE)

    Avanti Fields is seeking an experienced, compassionate and detail-oriented Non-Teaching Deputy Safeguarding Lead to play a key role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our students. This is a vital role in supporting the Designated Safeguarding Lead, managing referrals, liaising with external agencies, and ensuring safeguarding policies are implemented effectively. You will play a key role in fostering a culture where every child feels safe, valued, and heard.

    What will you do?
    • Manage safeguarding referrals, working with external agencies to ensure the safety and well-being of students.
    • Act as a key point of contact for staff, providing advice, support, and training on safeguarding and child protection.
    • Maintain accurate and confidential safeguarding records, ensuring compliance with policies and legal requirements.
    • Promote a culture of safeguarding, inclusion, and student voice, ensuring students feel safe and supported.
    • Support staff in linking safeguarding with academic and pastoral care, ensuring the best outcomes for all students.

    What are we looking for?
    • Experience of working with children or young adults in an education setting 
    • Experience of liaising with external agencies and professionals on child protection matters 
    • Experience of referring cases of suspected abuse to external agencies including relevant paperwork 
    • A sound knowledge of SEND Code of Practice 
    • Commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all students

About our School

Avanti Fields School is an all-through, faith-designated (Hindu) state school which welcomed the first intake of Year 7 students in September 2018, and first intake of Nursery and Reception students in September 2022. The school is rapidly expanding and will grow year by year to a full cohort of 1,320. This is an exciting time to join the school as it continues its journey to outstanding.
